Swim Team To Sectionals

On Saturday, February 14, 2009 the YMCA Bedell Barracudas Swim Team participated in the Iowa YMCA Sectional Swim Meet held in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Of the 40 who swam 32 qualified in 88 events for the Iowa YMCA State Swim Meet. 8 & under qualifiers are Jacob Gjerde, Greg Will, Hayden Goth, Garret Vugteveen, Cameron Dau, & Nick Sandison. 8 & under girl qualifiers are Madison Sieperda, Ally Morreim, Abby Heimlicher, Nancy Lynn Maris, Lauren Goth, Emily Lehner, Nicole Acton, & Sophie Endly. 9 & 10 Boy qualifiers are Brock Tvedt, Jacob Heimlicher, Kyler Vugteveen, & Ryan Maris. 9 & 10 girls are Annie Wofford, Caitlyn Roberts, Joie Veldman, & Erin Dau. 11 & 12 girls are Hayley Roberts, Taylor Sieperda, Jennifer Will, Krista Larson, & Hannah Holmberg. 13 & 14 girls are Mackenzie Veldman, Abby Goodenow, Katie Hamilton, & Kendall Bosch. 12 & over is Sarah Hussong. The State swim meet will be held at the Marshalltown YMCA on March 7 & 8.
