Specialty Camps Specialty camps give campers opportunities to explore new interests and gain specialized skills. Campers will spend the mornings in their specialty programs, and then they will rejoin the main day camp program in the afternoons. The fees include instructors and program supplies. Explorers ½ Day Camp (ages 4-7), Session 1-8, Total Fee: $119 Give your younger children the chance to experience camp during a half-day session (9:00 AM-12:00 Noon) under the careful supervision of specially trained counselors. (Morning bus pickup available at all stops. 12:00 Noon pickup at camp only.) Boots and Saddles (ages 8-12), Session 1-6, 8, Total Fee: $209 Take a one-hour horseback riding lesson each day in Western and English styles, as well as learn more about horsemanship. Campers will ride the same horse for the week. Lessons offered for all abilities. Counselors In Training (ages 13-15), Session 1, Total Fee: $149 Our new CIT Program gives older campers the opportunity to
develop their leadership skills and learn how to work effectively with
children. After a week of CIT training (Session 1), CIT's will have the
opportunity to volunteer as Assistant Counselors during sessions throughout the
rest of the summer. Dance (ages 7-12), Session 2, Total Fee: $189 Learn the latest moves with experienced teachers from Dance Express. Their enthusiastic team will join us at Foster to teach hip hop, jazz, and other dance styles. Fishing (ages 8-12), Session 7, Total Fee: $189 Fish the lakes with an instructor. Learn about this exciting sport. Perfect your techniques, so you can catch the big one. Fishing Camp is great for beginners. Junior Chef (ages 8-12), Session 6, Total Fee: $189 Learn the basics of food preparation and presentation through culinary challenges. Prepare your own lunch each day, and then create a special menu/meal for your families on Friday. Kids vs. Wild (ages 8-12), Session 5, Total Fee: $189 Join seasoned outdoor educators as we bring you face-to-face with the exciting adventures of exploring nature, wilderness survival, and animal encounters. Mad Scientist (ages 8-12), Session 3, Total Fee: $189 Test out the laws of nature with fun-filled and wacky experiments. Experiment with rockets, catapults, human pendulums, and whatever else we can find. Skateboarding (ages 8-12), Session 8, Total Fee: $189 Take skateboarding lessons, and challenge yourself to learn new skills. No experience needed. Bring your own skateboard, helmet, and pads. Snorkeling (ages 8-12), Session 4, Total Fee: $204 Dive in for an underwater adventure, while learning the basics of snorkeling in our pool from certified instructors. Must pass swim test. No experience needed. Equipment is provided. Water Sports (ages 8-12), Session 1-6, 8, Total Fee: $204 Splash into an awesome week on the lake. Spend your mornings taking lessons in water skiing, wake boarding, or knee boarding, as well as learning how to go canoeing, kayaking, and sailing. Must pass swim test. No experience needed. Equipment is provided. |
